Year 11 Educational trip to the Butchers
7th Mar 2017
The students had the opportunity to listen to the manager talk about how the meat is processed from slaughtered to plate. They were shown different cuts of meat and where on the animal these are produced from. The pupils also watched the production of burgers and sausages and how steaks are produced from the carcass of the animal.
A careers talk on the path of a butcher was also given.
A great day was had, many thanks to the butchers for giving up their time.
