We are also incredibly grateful to Team Kit Ballymena for their generous sponsorship of mouth guards for all our players.

Well done to members of 9O who completed their CPR training. CPR is an emergency lifesaving procedure, performed when the heart stops beating, often called a cardiac arrest. It is necessary to save the life of someone in cardiac arrest.
Each year over 40,000 people have an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in the UK. Less than 1 in 10 survive. Giving CPR promptly and using a defibrillator can more than double the chances of survival. β€οΈ
Congratulations to our Year 8 Netball team who competed in the Coleraine District Netball Tournament before Easter.π The girls fought hard in every game and were a credit to Our Lady of Lourdes School. β€οΈπ€
Thank you to all of the other local Schools for taking part and making the Tournament a huge success. βοΈ
Congratulations to Dalriada who were Crowned champions of the Tournament! π
The Student Council held a meeting this week with Mr Smyth in attendance. The discussion started with Summer Term uniform rules and expectations, followed by an open forum where pupils shared feedback and suggestions.
On Friday, we said an emotional farewell to an Our Lady of Lourdes legend β Mr Barney McGarry. After 33 years of dedicated service, Barney begins his wellβearned retirement. He has been so much more than a caretaker; he has been a constant source of support, kindness, and good humour for both staff and pupils. His generosity and gentle presence have shaped the heart of OLOL, and he will never be forgotten.
Thank you, Barney. Enjoy every moment of your retirement.

βοΈβ¨ What an incredible day at our Year 8A/B SPSC Chess Tournament! β¨βοΈ
A huge well done to all of our students who took part β the focus, determination, and sportsmanship on display were truly impressive. From carefully planned openings to clever endgame strategies, every match showed just how much skill and thought goes into the game of chess.
It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm, respect between players, and a real sense of friendly competition throughout the day. Whether you won your matches or simply challenged yourself and learned something new, you should all be very proud π
