Star Reward System

Class Teacher awards pupil(s) a star on the SIMS record system

Every 30 Stars will result in a letter to parents/guardians

The top pupil in each Form Class at the end of term will join for a reward Take-away Lunch- this term the proposed date is Tuesday 18 December 2018

The top achieving pupil overall at the end of each term will be rewarded with a £20.00 Gift Voucher

Reward System Rationale

To reward consistent high standards

To promote social cohesion/positive relationships with peers

To promote positive relationships between pupils and staff

Years 8-11

December 2018:  A Reward Event will take place during the third week of December, 2018

All pupils in each year group will receive a letter outlining details of the Reward Event by Wednesday 5 December 2018- this does not mean that you are deemed eligible

Reply slip with parent/guardian permission MUST be returned

By Friday14 December 2018 your parent/guardian will receive either:

• a letter to confirm that you are eligible
• a letter to say that you are not eligible stating the reason

Reward Success Criteria

• 3/4 clear weeks on class record sheet from Monday 12 November up until week ending Friday 7 December 2018
• No more than 1 after-school detentions
• No Saturday Morning detentions
• No suspensions
• Attendance ≥ 96%
• Pupils who have been absent from school and have not provided a reason for the absence may not attend Reward Events
• Pupils who have gone on unauthorised family holidays during the term may not attend Reward Events
